Terms
These terms are the agreement between you and Northlight, which is operated by Brandon Bomberger, an individual in the United States. Using Northlight means you accept them. They are written to be read, not to be skipped.
Who can use it
You need to be at least 16, and able to enter into a contract where you live. Northlight is offered in the United States. One account is one person — accounts are not shared, and you are responsible for what happens under yours, including keeping access to the email address you sign in with.
What Northlight does
It interviews you about the work you want, ranks job postings against the criteria you gave it, finds publicly listed people at companies you are pursuing, and drafts outreach and cover letters for you to send yourself.
It never sends anything for you. No emails, no applications, no submissions of any kind, ever — not as a setting, not as a feature request. Everything Northlight writes is a draft you read, edit, and send from your own account, or do not.
What it does not promise
Job postings come from public sources, and they go stale, disappear, and contain mistakes that are not ours to fix. Rankings are an opinion built out of your own stated criteria, not advice and not a prediction. Anything a model writes should be read before you send it. Northlight does not promise you interviews, offers, or a job, and is not your lawyer, your recruiter, or your career counselor.
How not to use it
- No bulk or unsolicited mail. Drafts are for messages you would be comfortable sending one at a time, to a real person, as yourself.
- Do not misrepresent who you are, or send drafts that misrepresent your experience.
- Do not upload other people's personal information you have no right to hold.
- Do not scrape Northlight, resell it, break its limits, or try to reach another user's data.
Accounts that do these things can be suspended or closed.
Your content
Your resume, your answers, and everything you write in Northlight stay yours. You give us permission to store and process them only to run the service for you, as described in the privacy policy — no other use, no training of models on your content by us, and no sharing between users. That permission ends when you delete your account.
Availability and cost
Northlight is early software, offered free at the moment, and it may be changed, interrupted, or discontinued. If paid plans arrive, existing users will be told before anything they already use starts costing money. Nothing here is a guarantee of uptime.
The legal part
Northlight is provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows. Neither the operator nor anyone working on Northlight is liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities — and total liability for any claim relating to Northlight is limited to the greater of what you paid in the twelve months before the claim, or fifty dollars. Some states do not allow parts of this, in which case those parts do not apply to you.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute belongs in the state or federal courts located there.
Ending it
You can stop using Northlight whenever you like, and ask for your account to be deleted by emailing bomberger1705@gmail.com. We can close an account that breaks these terms, or if the service shuts down — with notice and a chance to get your data out, unless the law prevents it.
Changes
If these terms change, the date changes with them, and material changes are emailed before they take effect. Continuing to use Northlight after that means you accept the new version. These terms are effective August 30, 2026.
